The Historic City of Taif – A Great Holiday
I love visiting new places for holidays. There are many amazing destinations all over the world which I have visited in the recent past. One of the places which I decided to visit for the holidays recently was Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is always been in my list of destinations to visit for a long time. Hence, I planned the journey myself for visit to the city of Taif in SA.
Taif is known for the amazing historical monuments and also one of the cultural centres of Saudi Arabia. I had booked a three star hotel known as Al Barraq which is having fully furnished accommodations. I liked the hotel and the room which was booked. It had an in-house restaurant which specialised in Arabic cuisines. It was a neat and clean hotel with good services.
Direct Flights in the City
The flight to Taif was booked by me online. There are many airlines which have started to operate direct flights from Abha for the passengers. I booked economy class tickets in the Saudi Arabian Air which gave me good services and facilities. It was a short non-stop 2.30 hours flight which landed at Taif on time. There are many destinations which I visited in the city. Three of the places which I liked were
- Al Rudaf Park
- Sharif Museum
- King Abdullah Palace
Places which I visited in Taif
One of the best places in the city of Taif to visit with friends and family is Al Rudaf Park which is having all kinds of amazing facilities. It is a premium picnic spot in the region and has basketball courts, football ground and places for the spectators to sit. The gardens are lush green and are frequented by visitors daily. The best thing is there is no entry fee in this park.
I also visited the Sharif Museum in the city which is located in the middle of the city centre. The place has fine collection artefacts which include pottery, ceramics and some amazing paintings. It is a brilliant place nevertheless to learn about the history of the region. It makes one of the best places in the city of Taif to visit.
I also visited the King Abdullah Palace which is one of the royal palaces in the city. It is having a brilliant architecture and the rooms are well decorated from inside. The palace also many good collection of arts and artefacts which was collected by the King in the region.
